Truly Inspirational

Young identified Sport Ambassador Brendan Farrell from Bluebell Park School was nominated to represent Merseyside at The Youth Sport Trust Step into Sport Camp in Loughborough. He attended a two day camp on which he found to be a fantastic and inspiring experience The main aim of the camp was to empower and enable the young role models to be able to change beliefs, attitudes and perceptions of their peer groups and give them the confidence and aspiration to go back to their schools and communities and create a stronger voice for disabled young people in sport.

Back in school Brendan and fellow sporting Ambassadors Adam Munroe have been extremely busy , both boys have participated in a number of accredited coaching courses and have wasted no time putting their leadership skills into good practice setting up and delivering a variety of lunch time clubs and supporting sport across the school during National School Sport week.

The two Young Ambassadors met Olympian Darren Campbell during a Merseyside National School Sport Olympic Legacy event. After talking to the boys Darren said “I feel like I have retired too early now you have both totally inspired me!”
