Knowsley Continues the Celebrations and Encourages More Young People to do More Sport

Knowsley children have joined more than three million young people from schools across Britain to take part in Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week 2013.  This annual initiative run in partnership with the Youth Sport Trust took place from 24 – 28 June. Schools in Knowsley have been taking part hosting opening and closing ceremonies, inter and intra school competitions and inviting local leaders to give taster sessions in a variety of sports.

National School Sport Week has built on the London 2012 sporting legacy to inspire pupils to do more sport and physical activity.  Schools across the country will have access to resources including lesson plans, and teacher notes on everything from staging multi-sport events, to learning about the values and ethos of sport to help support them during their week.
