School Sport Competitions
KSSP’s Competition Programme is back and well underway!
September and October saw Knowsley’s schools return to action in an exciting programme of competitions, including football, basketball, netball and table tennis. Knowsley Park has had a great start to the year, claiming the titles of Yr 11 and Yr 10 Basketball Champions, along with the KS3 Table Tennis Champions trophy. St Edmund Arrowsmith won a hard fought competition to become Yr 9 Basketball Champions.
All Saints have been impressive in the Netball competitions, winning both the Yr 10/11 and Yr 8 tournaments whilst Lord Derby Academy claimed the Yr 9 title.
In the Primary EFC FUN Football Festivals Prescot emerged as the Yr 6 winners, with Holy Family Cronton taking the Yr 1 crown and Plantation reaching victory in the Yr 2 competition. All three schools will now progress to the Merseyside Finals at Finch Farm next year.
All five of KSSP’s football leagues are also back underway, with Kirkby C of E sitting atop the Kirkby league, Plantation topping the Halewood League, St Margaret Marys and St Josephs Huyton leading the way in the Huyton Large and Small School Leagues respectively, and Evelyn in control in the Prescot League.
