Spring Term Highlights!

It’s been another busy term for competitions at KSSP, with another 40 events delivered and over 1980 children and young people taking part!

Sports have included Goal Ball, Kin Ball, Seated Volleyball, Dodgeball, Boccia, Swimming, Sportshall Athletics, Netball, Gymnastics, Basketball, Futsal, Cross Country, Football and more!

As always our competitions have allowed opportunities for all abilities to enjoy and compete at an appropriate level, from Celebration events such as our Learning and Discovery Festivals, Boccia, Goal Ball and Seated Volleyball  targeting SEND and less active children, through to our Aspire events such as our extensive programme of football leagues offering high level competition.

Our Sylvia Gore Girls Football Leagues continued to be extremely successful, with over 19 schools and 446 girls taking part throughout the year, building on last year’s success and continuing to work towards our aim of promoting equal access to football within all Knowsley schools.

Millbrook, Evelyn, Park Brow and Cronton CE now progress to our finals in May from the North League, with St Margaret Marys, St Andrews, St Marks, Halewood CE, St Annes and Park View joining them from the South League!

This term our Primary Football Leagues also concluded after more thrilling fixtures, over 38 schools and 1310 children have now taken part over the year. St Laurence’s and Kirkby CE now progress from our Kirkby League to our grand finals in May, with St Andrews and Holy Family Halewood progressing from the Halewood League, Evelyn and Cronton CE from the Prescot League and Malvern, St Gabriels, St Aloysius and St Margaret Marys taking the final places from the Huyton League!
